When Traffic411 went live in 2000, it was one of the first websites to offer real time freeway speed and accident information across California and in several other U.S. cities. Today, you’ll still find links to instant traffic reports for Southern California on our Real Time Maps page. You’ll also find ideas for fun things to do and see in and around the greater Los Angeles area, as well as tips for navigating Southern California’s famous freeways.
The photo Gallery showcases some of So Cal’s most beautiful scenery, and there’s even some auto-related news highlights. The “Daily Drive” offers links to stories about places to see and things to do in and around Southern California (are you ready for a ‘Road Trip?!’). Check in often to find great ideas for hometown getaways, ‘staycations,’ one tank trips and fun things to see and do in and around Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura, San Diego, and surrounding areas.
Traffic411 was created by Lisa Osborn, a Golden Mike Award-winning Los Angeles-based radio newscaster and former traffic reporter. Lisa spent most of her career anchoring news in Los Angeles. She is currently the morning host on Santa Barbara’s newest NPR radio station, KCRW 88.7 FM. If you have questions about traffic or road trips across Southern California, feel free to ask Lisa.
